Conditional Admission for Bachelor Level Applicants

Applicants who cannot demonstrate the English proficiency required for full admission may be granted conditional admission in the following manner:

• Applicants with scores of 5.0 on IELTS™ or scores between 450 to 499 on the Institutional TOEFL®, or 45 to 70 on the Internet-Based TOEFL®, may be conditionally admitted and are required to enroll in a minimum of 18 hours per week of ESL 400 classes.


• Applicants with scores of 4.5 on IELTS. or scores between 400 to 449 on Institutional TOEFL®, or 32 to 44 on the Internet-based TOEFL®, may be conditionally admitted and are required to enroll in a minimum of 18 hours per week of ESL 300 classes.


• Applicants with scores of 4.0 on IELTS™ or scores between 350 and 399 on Institutional TOEFL®, or 19 to 31 on the Internet-based TOEFL® may be conditionally admitted and are required to enroll in a minimum of 18 hours per week of ESL 200 classes.


• Applicants with scores below 3.5 on IELTS™ or scores below 349 on Institutional TOEFL®, or below 18 on Internet-based TOEFL® may be conditionally admitted and are required to enroll in a minimum of 18 hours per week of ESL 100 classes.
